Sylus Riraille was an honor graduate from the Federal Navy Academy. With his calm approach to high stress situations he thrived under pressure. Sylus had a very promising future until that fateful day. Riraille's ship The Valkyrie came under fire during a Caldari invasion. Severely outnumbered Sylus approached the situation in a calm and collected manner taking down Caldari Cruisers easily until his ship lost all power to the capactior. Reports state that an energy vampire was used. With no power to continue the fight Sylus ordered his crew to escape and make for friendly lines. He himself refused to leave The Valkyrie. Surrounded and outmatched Sylus stood stoicly at his command center as his battleship was torn to shreds. No one knows how he escaped but he managed to survive. Weeks later Sylus was found by a mining vessel bloodied and broken in a cargo container drifting through space. His left eye was a mess from a fragment of steel that must have hit him during the destruction!
