No alliance ever achieves anything.

If you win against another alliance, they were obviously bad (if they weren't, they hadn't lost), and that victory is not worth mentioning. If you fight hard, push forward, but get pushed back in the end, you were obviously horrible. If you take all their high-ends but no space, you obviously weren't good enough to take space (you get this even when the "defenders" lose fleet after fleet against you). If you take space, that space wasn't really defended anyway (we were distracted and didn't want it anyways and our leaders were AFK and and and ... we can get it back later when you grow bored!).

Oh, and if against all odds and best forum efforts you still manage to catch one of the super-fast goalposts, you surely had at least one other alliance help you, so you suck because you didn't do it alone.
