Reav is the space faring extension of another older character of mine, Wanderer. Wan is an old 16th century seafaring captain that plys the waters of the Caribbean and makes his home in various sailing MMOPRG's at the fictional island of Ellaybe along with his fellow captains of the Legion of Independent Buccaneers. Rather than put him outside of his element, I created Reav to assume his place in the larger vaster ocean of space. Reav could be a relative although the lineage would be very distant, if earth was even remembered at all. His first name is borrowed from a Stphen Donaldson short story entitled "Reave the Just" although when he signed up on the Eve server he inadvertantly forgot to include the final "e" in his first name, owing to a somewhat boisterous gathering of friends the night before. The shortened version stuck and he has continued his journeys under that name ever since.
