Shipping Consolidation Problem
Lets say you have a lot of things to ship to Jita with Redfrog and you want to minimize shipping costs by sending the minimum amount of freighters. If you have over 1 freighter load of over 1 billion isk in value to insure its easy to figure out. Lets say you have goods a, b, and c.
a is expensive but very small, like blueprints.
b is moderately valueable and moderately spaceous, like fuel blocks
c is cheap but large, like ore or tritanium.
Take the value of all your a, b, and c, and divide it by one billion isk. Thats the minimum trips of freighters in regard to insurance.
Take the volume of all your a, b, and c, and divide it by 845,000. Thats the minimum trips of freighters in regard to space.
Take whichever of the two is higher, round up, and thats how many trips (x) it'll take. Put a/x, b/x, and c/x in each contract.
