For Tehlui, it was escaping a reality her family imposed upon her. Her father was rather fond of the military life- discipline, rigidity, obedience, strength. Everything he did was framed by his training, and his family often took the brunt of his inner turmoil. Her mother was a particularly fastidious medical officer who spent a lot of time at work.
For Tehlui, becoming a pilot was a way of getting out of this success-oriented life. Unknown adventures awaited her- space itself waiting to be explored. She found courage and bravery in her own way- not in facing death or in destroying others, but in leaving her parents.
