Not knowing his real name, and not being allowed to have a given name by his Amarr slaver, he became known simpley by the rocks he was assigned to grind day after day while growing up in a Minmatar mining camp. After being severely scared himself during his escape from the camp, Veldscar adapted what seemed a fitting alteration of his name.
