I wont be the first to admit it, I'm a former pirate.
I was reckless, idiotic, and inexperienced in my younger pirating days; I blew my family's entire savings on a raven and the classes to fly it. It chased the only sibling I had, my sister, off into Gallente space. I was rightfully put in my place by other capsuleers shortly after.
I left that career behind me and sat back for quite some time in thought, eventually I came to the decision of straightening out my life. I enlisted in the State Protectorate to fight for Caldari; I was over-confident and inexperienced. I rushed out into the warzone time after time again, with little to no combat experience. I of course ended up being defeated and put back in my place, just as I had been some few years ago.
I withdrew again, matured, and finally opened my eyes and ears.
I'm taking things more slowly now, learning what I can, where I can.
I'm still determined to fight for my State, though this time, all in due time.
