An unplanned and, initially, unwanted son, D4nte has worked hard to prove his worth to his family. The fact that he was conceived, as it were, "under duress" made his early relationship with his mother difficult, however both mother and son have learnt to accept the circumstances of his genesis and move on, maternal ties and the support of an un-named surrogate father proving, ultimately, stronger than the violence surrounding his creation.

The inspiration for his given name is uncertain; all his mother will say is that "it connects Hell with something, and someone, better."
