Minera Toranen started her capsuleer career as an apprentice to another. Through him, she learned how to manage industry in both research and production. She learned how to source minerals, how to deliver goods, and ultimately, to acrue wealth.

Over time, however, her teacher grew tired of his life, and sought to retire into the shadows. Minera had been talking about combat and war, and he saw this as an opportunity for her. Using the latest in implant technology, he extracted what he knew about such things, and passed it onto her. One could say, quite literally, that the student had become the master.

Minera now spends her days looking for opportunities in the one place she has no experience: behind the guns of a war ship.
