You know what we need more of in EVE Online? This kind of attitude!
Planetary Interaction (PI) in a nutshell:
Plant [and upgrade] command center (CC), plant extractor heads, plant launchpad equidistant from extractor heads, plant processors (factories).
Then, follow the ALER process: Activate the factories' schematics, Link all relevant buildings (excluding the command center) to the launchpad, setup Extraction queues for each extractor head and complete input/output Routing to tie the entire colony together.
On a P2 manufacturing world, there should be a minimum of 9 total routes by the completion of planetary infrastructure. Any number less than this may constitute a non-viable setup.
