Born in YC84 to Khanid yeoman parents, Asgen grew up with a healthy disdain for the blind devotion and adherance to the doctrine of the Amarr Church shown by citizens of the Empire. His mother works for Khanid Innovation and his father serves in the Royal Khanid Navy.
Encouraged to explore other cultures, Asgen chose to see how deep the indoctrination ran for the Amarrians. Thus, he found himself serving aboard an Abaddon class battleship patrolling the border with the Gallente Federation. Coming under fire from Sansha raiders fleeing from the failed raids into Caldari space he was tasked with keeping the guns firing. Repairing one of the turrets, the Captain ordered the guns fired despite the removal of thermal couplings, causing catastrophic failure in the frequency crystal which then exploded, damaging portions of his occipital lobe. Thus, state data was not able to be recovered, and some of the visual pathways needed to be rerouted. Therefore, he nows wears a prostetic.
