Daniel entered the scene originally as a small time software engineer. He started out with simple communication systems, misc tools to fill various needs, and some minor operating system work. As his career progressed, he began accepting contracts for writing various starship system software. Soon he was writing such systems on his own impetus, selling them to whoever was interested to support himself. At one point he formed a formal company called Vorpal Cloud Software, which began to dabble in hardware products as well. Naming himself president and CEO, the company continued to grow until it was one of the top corporations in technical solutions.

Many years later, Daniel stepped down as CEO and president, and bowed out of the limelight. His involvement with Vorpal Cloud Software these days is that of the founder and a consultant primarily. His personal focus is to learn and experience everything he can of the univese at large.
