In marble ruins and temples high
There yet remains a tiny trace.
Of lords who built upon the sky,
Who captured dreams through outer space.

Look now! Upon that edifice!
See how tall and grand!
Could not but an inspired race
Build thee, if not God's own hand?

But like gods. long left they this land
To an abode we do not know.
Leaving cracked statues left to stand
In soft moonlight's paled glow.

Savior to friend, nightmare to foe,
A marvel to all mankind.
Wherefore you know, dead Chozo?
