"Copy of a copy of a copy of a..." - Mutterings of a lost clone

Prologue:
Ren leaned up from the stiff cushion of his bunk on the Caldari Navy station in Jita. The world was still blurry from another restless night of "sleep" on the humming military station-turned trading post. He could never seem to get a full night of sleep anymore. It seemed like as soon as he closed his eyes the dreams would begin. Or were they memories? He couldn't tell anymore.

Ren was a clone. One amongst millions that fought the wars of the natural humans. The living. But not him. He was meant to die. Die for their causes. Die for their fun. It didn't matter. He always woke up again. The same bitter taste in his mouth as the pod slowly drained and the "new" him stepped out into the world for one more try at survival. One more try at redemption.

Now is seemed like time and space all blurred together. A hundred memories of a hundred gruesome deaths. Who would he be this time? The pirate or the savior?
