At age 9 Jake Isu got a bb gun for christmas. He proceeded directly to the back yard, took careful aim at the nearest fence post, and promptly shot his own eye out. Later in his life, He blamed his "disability" for his discharge from the Navy. Years of failure and rejection have ground Jake's sense of self and hope down to nearly nothing. Today, he is a drunken old man that races his mining drones slopily through asteroid belts when he is bored. For Jake, it is a new era... of alchoholism.
