The Sixth Moon

A long time ago when me and my sisters were young girls, our grandmother used to tell us a story she called Six Moons. It’s been ages since I’ve heard the story, but it’s still stuck in my mind. It goes something like this…

“It all began with six moons. Five of the moons was positioned around the sixth one. They were named Spiritus, Aura, Caminus, Aqua and Humus. Right in the middle, the sixth and largest moons of them all, Hircum. The five surrounding moons shed their light and energy onto the Hircum for several thousands years. Gradually this turned Hircum into what we today call a planet. It is said that all life comes from the planet Hircum.”

I guess it was only me and my sisters who believed in her story, but we always keep our eyes open for the Six Moons.
