Emmigrating from a newly incorporated world, Shadowfox comes from a culture that hadn't yet achieved inter-system space flight. While archeological evidence points to the fact that this world had been colonized some time in the distant past, there were not enough technological artifacts to determine which of the ancient races once claimed that world as their own.

Shadowfox is in fact her alias while flying among the stars. She is descended from a clan of ruthless and powerful warriors, noted most for their tracking and assassination skills. Because of the threat of rival clans and the danger to her as the heir of the clan, it was decided to send her into space, using clan funds not only for her training, but also for her cloning procedure. Now basically immortal as long as she stays among the stars, Shadowfox is seeking to restore and expand the power of her clan in the newly discovered vastness of space. Whether she will accomplish her goal has yet to be seen.
