Born blind no one ever thought I would amount to much but my parents kept me hidden in the mines and survived.
At the age of 12, a cave in during an inspection by my Lord Holder and my ability to lead them to safty garnered me the oppertunity to be tested and found to have the working brain parts but missing the eyes and nerves to see with.
And although all clones created still have this issue it was believed the neural connections of a pod would allow me to see while in a ship.
My Lord, feeling a debit for my saving his life and yet wanted to be rid of the shame of a lower being having a favor owed, sent me off to University.
I have never looked back.
