Kalis served as a simple miner, trying to best find his fortune. However, in that time, he sought the most precious investment of all, knowledge. Through education, he learned of the greatness of the federation, and the Plight of the Minmatar.

After enlisting in the Federation Naval Forces, he was reassigned, and sent to Minmatar Space, where he would join Special Detachment of Gallente Fighting with the Minmatar against the Amarr. It was thought that one who had no Caldari Blood on his hands, might be able to find peace amongst them in the future.

And thus, Kalis went to war against the deluded Zealots.
