Ever since he was a young boy, Peter would always help his dad mine the ore in his family's home system. His dad would always let him drive the massive Coveter, or at least that's what Peter thought. Life was good for the McMallys, until one fateful day when the Coveter was attacked by Blood Raiders looking for petty cash and goods. The ships defense measures were no match for the high caliber cruisers and Peter and his father had to eject into the vastness of space. But something went wrong. The ship's broken and twisted mass was careening through space straight for a nearby asteroid and Peter's father knew that if the ship were to collide, even if they escaped in the pod, would create too large of a blast. Without thinking, Peter's father put his 8 year old boy into the pod and with tears running down his face told his son he loved him and his mother more than anything in any galaxy. And with those last words he ejected the pod with Peter inside and
