Thornos was a youth being raised by a royal family (The Dre'Oss family had a long tradition of weapon manufacturing along with ties to the Dark Minmatar Lord) on Matar, they were seperated during an Amarr attack in which his whole family was killed. He was captured and sold to a nasty pirate named Juntiko Spiwaq. Eventually, Juntiko became attached to Thornos and freed him and taught him the tools of the trade, making him into the smartest pirate in the game.
