Pontus Omei is the third of five children of Treyban and Migna (Caban) Omei.

Pontus joined Emel Harr, Jinja Negrel, Vaeri Timsa and Botan Lasalle as partners, explorers and miners learning the dangers of space firsthand.

Venturing into trading, the five partners lost everything a couple of times before acquiring the skills, experience and trading knowledge to conduct profitable trades.

Later the partners organized and built the Omei Corporation into a multimillion dollar corporation with several divisions becoming billionaires in the process.

Expanding the corporation with his cousins Kered Enaka (male) and Ta'Ara Shaniir (female), the group can usually be found mining or trading within the Tarta system or venturing within a few jumps of it.
