Suddenly, the reeds parted to reveal General Hu, a notoriously wicked rabbit aiming a heavy crossbow right at him.
Hu pulled the trigger with a cruel smirk. A loud twang shattered the silence. The arrow hissed past Gao's tail, splashing harmlessly into the mud.
Gao didn't even flinch.
He just turned around, flapped his wings, and shouted, "Is that the best you can do? You're having a bad hare day!"
With a defiant quack, Gao soared safely into the sky, leaving the furious rabbit stamping his feet in the muck.
