Fleet Mining Procedures
When fleet mining it is important to take into account following points:
- Do not spread lasers too much and look for a free rock. Having all your lasers in one rock is not so bad.
With Orca Boost
Orcas are quite slow and have to be near a rock to maximize mining rate. They depend only on the drones to mine. So:
- Never target the rock that the Orca is mining.
- Do not get too near the booster ship and never bump her.
- Ask the booster which is the boost range. It depends on the Orca pilot’s skills.
- Maintain inside that range. Take into account that with mining range boost, you can mine up to 70 Km from the booster ship.
- Orcas have about 250K cubic meters to cargo ore. Ask pilot if he will haul the ore, do not take it for granted.
With Hauler Ships
Transport pilots may have math skills even in 1. So:
- Take note of what you send to the hauler.
- Name the can with a message to the hauler to let him know he can unload the can. “Haul” is expressive enough, even transport pilots can understand that.
- After mining complete, send a message to the hauler pilot to let him know total ore sent.
- Transport pilot will contact miners the ore received. He will let miners know in which station contracts will be set up.
