Gah'Matar was born a slave on Myyhera IV in YC85. Upon initial aptitude testing, he demonstrated ability for engineering. Trained as a technician, he ended up in a variety of roles on a merchantman owned by his holder, lord Pascehzad, the "Light of Myyhera XIV". In YC110, he qualified as a shuttle pilot and assigned to the freighter's shuttle as 2nd officer.

His life changed after Empress Jamyl I's emancipation. Granted freedom, he left for the Republic. Enlisting at the Republic Military School in Ammold hoping to turn his experience into a commission and maybe a command of his own.

At the RMS, he screened immediately into the capsuleer training program and due to his extensive shipboard experience graduated early in October of YC113.

While he was keen to repay the cost of his training by enlisting in the republic navy, things rapidly unravelled and he took on a succession of shady and illegal professions.

During his last stint in NPC Null he associated with an outfit called the "Nyan Cat Pirates," named after a weird obsession of the CEO. Together, they preyed on the locals of Outer Rings.

After the militia reorganization of YC114, he spearheaded the creation of the "Knights of the Nyan" an offshoot of the "Nyan Cat Pirates" to profit from the war. The Knights joined the 24th Imperial Crusade as it was the only faction where none of them were wanted criminals.

This experience transformed Gah'Matar and he plunged head first into the defence of the frontier for almost a full year. Saving up a nice nest egg and getting battle weary, he retired in September YC115. Content to rejoin his family and try a more peaceful existence.

Then in january of YC121, heeding the call from former allies that the war was not going well, he rejoined the Crusades and eventually joined the "Dirt 'n' Glitter" corporation of bitter veterans. All the while, taking an active role in the retaking of the warzone.

While all seemed well, his coalition struck a treaty with the terrorist organization Ushra'Khan to split the warzone control. Initially siding with his comrades in arms, he upheld the treaty. Realizing that he was turning his back on the memory of Jamyl and his loyalist friend, he left DnG on October 30th, YC121 and enlisted in the Dam-Torsad Honor Guard.
