[ENCRYPTED DATA STREAM // ORIGIN: THAYLON SEN]
[SUBJECT: ARCHIVE YC105.12.15 // DOCTRINE: THE THREE CONSTANTS]

The stars beyond the canopy are unchanged. They were old when YC105 was new, and they will remain when the names we kill for are gone. What changes is the machinery between them: sharper hulls, cleaner weapons, thinner pilots.

After two decades in the dark between empires, survival in New Eden reduces to three constants.

I. TRUST THE FEAR.
Fear is not weakness. It is signal. A warning system written into flesh and repetition. It arrives before language: the local spike that feels wrong, the empty gate that is not empty, the silence that carries intent. Ignore it often enough and you become a lesson. The dead are full of explanations. The living tend to have instincts they obeyed in time.

II. STAY AT RANGE.
Distance is authority. Every fight is geometry disguised as violence. Every hull and fit has a narrow envelope where it performs, and another where it dies. I do not let the enemy choose that equation. I set the range. I dictate the transversal. I force the fight into the thin band where my weapons remain efficient and theirs begin to fail. What others call instinct is usually mathematics executed fast enough to look like fate.

III. EXPECT TO DIE.
Undocking is consent. The ship is lost the moment the clamps release; destruction is only the delay. Accept that, and panic loses its leverage. A hull is not identity. It is a tool, already entered on the ledger as expendable. I do not extract out of fear. I extract when the objective no longer justifies the cost.

I am Thaylon Sen. I have been here since the beginning. I have seen the first stars of this era, and I will likely see the last ones go cold.

If you see me on your grid, I have already calculated the distance. I have already trusted my fear. And I have already written off the cost of my ship.

Have you?
