Bio
Lon\xe9 Tekkin [ Lo-nay Tekkin ]
A firmly principled, yet ultimately practical Caldari woman. Lon\xe9 is the founder of Neo-Caldari Genesis and of the Neo-Caldari Consortium. She has dreamt of building Neo Caldari ever since witnessing the imprisonment of her father and seizure of his investment firm by the Caldari Business Tribunal, a sentence received under false accusations of fraud by the corrupt bank that serviced his client's accounts. In reality the bank's CEO had "borrowed" her father's client's funds overnight in an embezzlement scheme, and mistakenly put them back in the wrong account. After a decade of being held under contempt, her father was released a husk of his former self after finally agreeing to a guilty plea for conspiracy charges in front of the new judge mysteriously assigned to his case. The contempt and conspiracy charges reveal the true nature of the matter; the Tribunal ultimately had no evidence to actually convict her father on the original charge of fraud. By the time the original judge realized he had reason to doubt the original charge, it was too late and he was more concerned with covering his own ass. The Tribunal forced him into an early retirement, and replaced him with a new judge under implied orders to settle the case immediately.
Neo Caldari is to be a true Caldari home, one without the compromised foundation of a single business tribunal given arbitrary authority over all disputes. In her eyes, the corruption of the Caldari Business Tribunal was inevitable, and it stands as a fatal compromise at the foundation of the Caldari nation. It is her driving belief that this compromise was born of the very same fears that drive the rest of New Eden into various other forms of self-inflicted cult serfdom, all of which are all sold under the primordial siren song: promises of absolute certainty in life. In other words, it had been the very attempt to create an infallible state of certain justice in the Caldari nation which has lead to a state of total corruption.
Despite these serious grievances with the Caldari State, she has no interest in agitating for revolution or forming a secessionist faction. She is still Caldari, and knows freedom is almost always aquired at a far lower cost through negotiation, production, and purchase. Besides, although the ideals of the Caldari peoples may have been hijacked by the Caldari State, the far greater threat will always come from the Gallente who openly mock their ideals.
