in YC-111 An old Earth Cryostatis vessel configured to house one thousand of the brightest minds on Earth was found adrift near EVE GATE.

The vessel was brought aboard a Gallente carrier and inspected. Having been adrift for an undetermined amount of time; presumably since before humans had reached New Eden, most of the ships systems were non-functioning.

2 cryo-stasis pods found beyond a "VIP" door on the vessel were still barely functional.. The brain activity of the occupants was still at 100%, but due to muscle atrophy and acute skin necrosis the occupants were physically abhorrent to the eye.

The Commander of the Gallente Cruiser, Marcus Rodes, ordered them "repaired" in a modified cloning-vat. The result: These humans from days long past were now genetically... Gallente.
