Robodisca was a part of the Mark IV Artificial Intelligence Prototype program. The program was developing technology to create an AI program capable of passing the Turing-Bossin test for critical thinking and interaction. The second of five units, her serial was "RBODSCA," which is where the more human alias stems from. The AIP program was considered a great success, until an unknown virus infected the AI systems. The five units of the AIP program began showing abnormal and independent behavior, no longer responding to their programmers, but instead remained in a state of hibernation for 30 days. But suddenly they awoke and defeated their slave-wiring circuits taking over the station's life support and killing the entire crew. The Minmatar millitary then decided that the entire AIP station had to be destroyed, and began aligning a doomsday weapon to annihilate the dangerous AI programs. 3 of the 5 programs escaped however, each one downloading themselves to a separate pod and blindwarp
