The Sarabelo's are amongst the oldest documented Caldari families, tracing their lineage back thousands of years to the court of the Raata Emperors; historical records indicate the Sarabelo's were an old family even then, possibly chieftains of the Napanii tribes of Tikiona. As the Caldari became unified into various precursors to the State, the Sarabelo's were strong advocates of a united voice in representing Caldari Prime as it joined with the Gallente in the Federation. They were also an equally loud voice later in demanding the Gallente relinquish control of Caldari Prime when the State decided to leave the Federation. They have since been distinguished officers and leaders in the Caldari Navy, the Executive Panel, and as independent entrepreneurs. The current scion of the family, Ciaran, is named for Lord Kiiran Okama Sarabelo, grand vizier to Emperor Turamo Ra'ata Deian of the Second Raata Dynasty.
