Bio
Most of my childhood and early adult life has revolved around agriculture. To be more specific, I have been riding horses since I was about a year old and showing cattle since I was about ten. My family raises cattle for show and has a particular fondness for the Charolais breed. Being around them for so long led me to study the breed, reading anything I could get my hands on. Over the years, I have learned more about one breed than I know what to do with.
It is quite interesting how this breed originated. They came from the west central and southeastern parts of France, in the old provinces of Charolles and Nievre. This explains how the breed got its name. Exact specifics of their origins are still unknown, but it is logical to think that the breed developed from cattle in that area. The first recordings of the breed are from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries when this breed was well known and highly favored in the French markets, particularly those of Lyon and Villefranc
