Important settings for fleet battles (how to remove lag)
Overview: Removing gang members from your overview makes it much easier to find the correct targets and also avoid friendly fire. Click on the white arrow next to overview -> overview settings -> filters -> states. I recommend you remove the following states:
Pilot has good standing, pilot has high standing, pilot is in your alliance, pilot is in your gang.

Sound: Sound makes lag, we don't want lag. CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F12 to disable sound. Eve saves this setting, so sound will still be off the next time you start it. Press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F12 if you want to enable sound again later.

Effects: (IMPORTANT) This one helps A LOT when you warp in on someone that is shooting a station or if you are shooting a station yourself. CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-E to turn off effects.. This setting isn't saved for the next time you start eve, so you have to press it again.
