Back in 2006 I got a disc copy of EVE Online : Red moon rising.
I was running an AMD Duron PC at the time but I managed it.
I undocked from Kisogo VII - State War Academy in my Ibis, The first thing I saw was a Raven. I wanted to get into one so bad, but it was going to take months of skilling to fly one.
back then you were thrown pretty much into the deep end.
We had frigates that had torpedo launchers, and incerceptors that went above 30,000m/s
There were less people back then but it was still a bit crazy.
I trained into a merlin, and I thought I was the nuts, I head into lowsec with a level of over confidence that i had no buisness having.
I cannot remember the low sec system i went to, although it was probably Tama.
And I found cHoCoLaTe MuFfInMaN sitting on the gate in a Raven.... He instantly popped my merlin.
What was interesting about this and youll never see this again.. but the weapons he hit me with from that raven... 1400mm howitzers...not missles...
So I went back to the drawing board and realised my merlin wasnt going to cut it, and EVE Online... Isnt that simple, it isnt that black and white.
If you want to be good, make alot of ISK, Have truly the best time you can have in an MMO?
Join a corp, make friends, The people you connect with, Go ratting with, Go mining with, Run sites whatever, Those 3am Discord or teamspeak laughs will stay with you.
When that FC calls you things that youd be arrested for in the UK for just texting, when you get ganked in a really stupid way in a shiny ship and everyone laughs at you..
