Born to the Old Earth noble family of Medici, Lan has led a privileged life. One of the founding members of Voltron, he is very accustomed to high stress environments. Three years into the Voltron project, Lan left due to artistic disagreements with the self-proclaimed leader of the group, Keith. It is whispered in some circles that the young princess, Allura, was making rounds between the two, and the resulting love triangle culminated in Lan’s departure.

Lan held a series of odd jobs over the next few years, ranging from lead saxophonist for the Raisins to cloud fluffer for the Care Bears.

When not indulging in fantasies, Lan spends his time blowing stuff up and sailing paper airplanes into wormholes, hoping he'll hit the "sweet spot" on some poor bastard's Titan and blow it into oblivion.
