"It's easy to think of the Amarr Empire as a cold, cruel, hegemonic state endorsing terrible repression and subjugation. Anyone making such an argument would have a strong case. But of course life is never so simple: For every Amarrian "true believer" in the Empire, there is another who doubts not only his or her faith, but also the government that reifies religious doctrine.

That isn't to say that half of the Amarrians in the Empire are traitors and rebels — far from it. But to assume that every free Amarrian citizen condones slavery and colonization is to make a grievous error. There are many sympathizers to the Minmatar cause in Amarr."
