Corenthein comes from a long line of Amarrian nobility. His cruelty towards his slaves and servants was beyond measure. Many have died in service to his household. Otren, a slave in his home, had a family within the Corenthein's home. One day, his wife Amren was caught stealing bread and Corenthin had her mercilessly flogged, raped, and beheaded, followed by their two children. Otren was spared however, as he had a significant talent in training slaverhounds. In his grief Otren set fire to Corenthein's home and attacked him, trying to exact revenge. He was unsuccesful and Corenthein ran him through with his lazersword. Right before Otren died, Corenthein told him that he had been forcing Otren's wife to bed with him for years. Otren, in a desperate rage, stabbed Corenthein in the side with a small dagger, narrowly missing his internal organs. Corenthein survived.
