Asteroid Belt Blues

I hear the warp drive spinnin’, it’s spoolin’ ’round the bend

And I ain’t seen a super nova since I don’t know when

I’m stuck in this asteroid belt, and time keeps draggin’ on

But that ore keeps a-flowin’ right into my mining hold
When I was just a noob, my corp mate told me, “Son

Always fit a tank, don’t ever fly alone”

But I mined in low-sec just to watch the ISK roll in

When I hear that local spike, I hang my head and cry
I bet there’s rich folks tradin’ in a fancy Jita hub

They’re countin’ their trillions and flying supercaps

Well I know I had it comin’, I know I can’t be free

But those freighters keep a-movin’, and that’s what tortures me
Well if they freed me from this belt, if that mining barge was mine

I bet I’d move it on a little farther down the line

Far from this asteroid belt, that’s where I want to stay

And I’d let that lonesome warp drive blow my blues away



My strip miners are burnin’, my hold is almost full

The Procurer’s tank is solid but the yield is kinda dull

A ganker just warped in with a Catalyst and a grin

When I hear that targeting lock, I hang my head and cry
