Bio
Corbin Mercer never intended to become a soldier.

Born in Caldari space to a working-class family tied to industry and freight, Mercer grew up around machinery, cargo schedules, mining equipment, and the quiet truth that civilization only works because someone keeps it running.

Machines made sense. Markets made sense. Ore had value, ammunition had purpose, and damaged equipment could usually be repaired if you understood why it failed.

People were less predictable.

When Mercer became a capsuleer, he approached New Eden the same way he approached machinery: learn the system, understand its weaknesses, and never rely on a single component when redundancy can keep you alive.

He mined. Hauled freight. Salvaged wrecks. Explored forgotten sites. Hunted pirates. Studied markets. Learned electronic warfare. Built things.

And lost a few ships along the way.

Mercer quickly discovered that specialization makes money, but ignorance gets capsuleers killed. So he refused to become only one thing.

He became an industrialist who carried guns.

A miner who commanded combat drones.

A salvager who followed battles for profit.

A hauler who studied warfare.

An explorer willing to open whatever someone else had tried to keep locked.

His preferred combat doctrine is simple: control the engagement, protect the ship, and let the drones work. Hybrid weapons remain close at hand because Mercer believes anything worth surviving deserves a backup plan.

That same mentality governs his industrial operations. Every mining run is an experiment in yield. Every fitting is an engineering problem. Every purchase is measured against what it can eventually earn back.

His growing collection of ships, equipment, ore, salvage, and liquid ISK is approaching 150 million in total assets—not a fortune by capsuleer standards, but enough to prove the system is working.

Mercer has little interest in wealth merely for its own sake.

ISK buys ships.

Ships create capability.

Capability creates independence.

His long-term objective is to assemble an industrial network of mining, manufacturing, logistics, intelligence, salvage, and combat assets capable of supporting itself—and eventually others.

Some capsuleers might call that the beginning of an empire.

Mercer would call it infrastructure.

In New Eden, everything has a price.
