Alt of a 10 year Main.
Tips for Newbros i would recommend are :
BASICS
YOUR NEVER SAFE IN EVE UNLESS DOCKED UP IN NPC STATION.

* Do the tutorial, teaches you how to play and gives you a start in goodies. If you didnt do the tutorial and you are less than a day old, delete Character and go and do it with new character, will teach you the basics.
* Do the Agents I would recommend the Industrial as a start point for free goodies, but your game, do as you wish
* Dont bling your ships or haul 100s of millions all at once you will get ganked,
* Learn and memorise gankers names etc
* D Scan and memorise locals.
* Never fly on Auto Pilot
* Dont fly aything you cant afford to loose, and try to have double of everything Incase you do loose it
* If You Need to go AFK for the love of god dock up
* Try to Book Mark your stations Trade Stations, and if your a Miner Belts and use Neo to find your locations drag and drop into Overview to make tab, saves slowboating. To make a book mark press CTRL and B when at loction, and Save.
* Book Mark a safe point or Station to fly away to if your mining, and have shipped aligned with it at all times while miniing,
* If you are a miner do not use very expensive drones, you WILL get ganked for them.
If You are a solo Miner try and avoid WH or J space as you will Get Ganked Period.
* Train to cloaking and the crane or variant ASAP and train the highest tier level 4 i believe as a crane can not be cargo scanned either.
* If a Cheaper ship can do it, use it, dont be tempted to fly Capital ships or very expensive ships too early on, you will loose them!!!!
* If you want to unload at a POS you can right Click and select Open Cargo Deposit drag and drop ship items and then press transfer Saves time docking up.
* If your Alpa and thinking of goig Omega, stay Alpha as long as possible, and train skills, untill you have to be Omega to progress with Skill training.
* Double Check All Contracts for value, and that station is accessible and not a scam!!!!!
* Click in space, then Press Q and hold down then move mouse can help you move ship in any directly. real help navigation belts and sites.
