The Red Veil Syndicate raided his home when he was twelve—killing the leaders, enslaving the workers, and leaving the outpost in ruin. Samael survived only by hiding in maintenance shafts, watching everything he knew burn. When a State Protectorate convoy finally rescued him, he carried nothing but trauma, determination, and a vow: no one else would suffer the way he had.
Enlisting the moment he was able, Samael quickly distinguished himself in the State Protectorate Auxiliary, showing a rare mix of tactical brilliance and unwavering empathy. In faction warfare he earned the callsign “Iron Seraph,” known for surviving impossible engagements while pulling allies from the jaws of death. The cluster learned to expect two things from him—relentless resolve and a good heart, even in the darkest corners of New Eden.
Before fully embracing a combat career, Samael spent years as a deep-space miner. Where others saw drudgery, he found discipline and clarity.
