Bio
Born in the sprawling industrial city of New Caldari Prime, Kade Ando grew up in the shadow of the Ishukone Corporation’s massive manufacturing complexes. His father, Hiroaki Ando, was a mid-level logistics coordinator for Ishukone’s mining operations, while his mother, Elena, was a data analyst specializing in resource allocation algorithms. The Ando family represented the new generation of Caldari - rooted in traditional values but adapted to the cosmopolitan realities of corporate life.
From an early age, Kade displayed an unusual combination of analytical precision and restless curiosity. While his peers focused on climbing corporate hierarchies, young Kade would spend hours studying star charts and mineral composition reports, dreaming of the unexplored systems beyond the State’s borders.
Following Caldari tradition, Kade entered the State War Academy at 18, specializing in logistics and industrial engineering. His thesis on “Optimal Resource Extraction in Contested Space” caught the attention of several megacorporations. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with Kaalakiota Corporation as a junior mining operations analyst.
For five years, Kade excelled in the corporate environment, rising to become Regional Mining Director for the Forge sector. His innovative approaches to asteroid belt exploitation increased productivity by 23% while reducing operational costs. However, the sterile predictability of corporate life began to weigh on him. He found himself staying late in the office, not to work, but to study exploration reports from independent capsuleers who ventured into unknown space.
Everything changed during the “Seyllin Incident” when unstable wormholes began appearing throughout New Eden. While the State’s official response was cautious and bureaucratic, Kade saw opportunity where others saw danger. He quietly began using his corporate access to study wormhole phenomena and the rare materials emerging from these mysterious spaces.
His breakthrough came when he developed a predictive model for wormhole stability that could potentially revolutionize both exploration and industrial logistics. However, when he presented his findings to the Kaalakiota board, they buried the research, deeming it “too risky for corporate interests.”
