Slart McHugh
Capsuleer Extraordinaire, Renowned Scoundrel, and Occasional Hero

Slart McHugh's journey through New Eden is a story often told in bars from Jita to Amarr, usually by Slart himself after one too many Quafe Ultras. A capsuleer of questionable morals and even more questionable piloting skills, Slart has managed to carve out a niche in the galaxy where the lines between legend, myth, and outright fabrication blur.

Born in a backwater station in the Molden Heath region, Slart showed promise as a young pilot with an almost supernatural knack for surviving situations that should have turned him into space dust. Whether it was evading CONCORD by a hair's breadth or navigating the treacherous asteroid belts of Hek with his Rifter held together by duct tape and prayers, Slart’s early career was a testament to his uncanny luck. That, or someone's incredibly bored deity had taken a special interest in his survival.

He first gained notoriety when he accidentally invented a new form of wormhole diving. While most capsuleers carefully probe and map their way through the deadly depths of Anoikis, Slart's method involved launching himself blindly into the void, praying to Bob (the wormhole god) that he’d end up somewhere profitable. Surprisingly, this "Blind Dive" technique paid off more often than not, earning him a modest fortune in salvage and a not-so-modest reputation as New Eden's luckiest fool.

Over the years, Slart McHugh has flown almost every type of ship, from the humble Velator to the mighty Titan—though the latter was more of a "borrowing" incident than an actual ownership claim. He’s dabbled in piracy, mining, exploration, and even a brief stint as a diplomat, though that ended disastrously when he mistook a high-ranking Amarrian ambassador for a Gallente pleasure bot. It’s said the ambassador still wakes up in a cold sweat, haunted by the encounter.

Slart is perhaps best known for his involvement in the infamous Battle of B-R5RB, where he managed to lose not one, but two battleships in under five minutes—an EVE record that still stands. His ineptitude was so profound that it reportedly caused several enemy pilots to crash their own ships in sheer disbelief.
