Pilot zin was raised in the traditional Amarrian way in a tight-knit family. In his youth he attended parochial schools followed by several stints in ecclesiastical academic institutions. While he was satisfied for the most part with the path set by his family, zin was also labeled as a "dreamer" and had visions of adventure among the stars. Out of love and also to reduce conflict in the community they sponsored him to become a capsuleeer and join an industrial and shipping division of the family business.
