With a thirst for adventure and a hunger for riches, he joined a small mining corporation contracted by the Amarr Empire to extract precious minerals from the asteroid belts of neighboring systems.
But the allure of the stars soon faded as Mimo witnessed the oppressive grip of the Empire upon his people. Forced labor, meager wages, and constant surveillance became the norm, fueling resentment and discontent among the miners. Amidst this simmering discontent, whispers of rebellion began to circulate, and Mimo found himself drawn to the cause of the Guristas, a notorious band of pirates who championed freedom and autonomy.
In a daring act of defiance, Mimo abandoned his life as a miner and joined the ranks of the Guristas. Under the leadership of the enigmatic Korako 'The Rabbit' Kosakami, he honed his skills as a pilot, mastering the art of subterfuge, sabotage, and piracy. With each successful raid against the Empire, Mimo's reputation grew, earning him both admiration and fear among his fellow pirates.
Yet, amidst the chaos of New Eden's lawless regions, Mimo never forgot the injustices suffered by his people on Anath. Determined to strike back at the Empire that had oppressed him, he hatched a daring plan to cripple one of their most prized mining facilities deep within Amarr space.
Captured by the Empire's elite forces, Mimo was subjected to months of interrogation and torture, his spirit unbroken but his body battered and broken. Yet, even in the darkest depths of despair, Voren clung to his burning desire for vengeance.
Miraculously escaping from his captors with the help of a sympathetic Amarr defector, Mimo emerged from his ordeal with a newfound determination to bring the Empire to its knees. With his trusty ship, the El Nino, by his side, he set forth into the unforgiving depths of space, his path illuminated by the flames of retribution.
Now, hunted by both the Empire and his former comrades alike, Mimo Laite roams the stars as a ghostly specter of vengeance, his name whispered in fear and awe by those who dare to cross his path.
