---Background: Axelion Mortimus Maximum was born the son of a pair of Minmatar miners from the Republic. Growing up on a mining colony, Axelion worked hard to stand out among his peers and make a name for himself. His parents encouraged him to succeed but knew that his lack of sight might be a hindrance. Despite this limitation, Axelion's ambition and intelligence stood him in good stead, and he applied and was accepted to a military school for the blind.

Motivation and Goals: Axelion had a burning desire to make his mark in the universe. He had no fear of failure, and was willing to face any challenge head on. He wanted to be seen as someone of worth and gain the glory and prestige that comes with it. His lack of physical sight only pushed his determination further, and he poured his heart and soul into his studies at the military school, motivated to make up for his deficiency and prove his worth. To make up for his visual impairment, he had facial cybernetic implants installed, allowing him to compensate for being completely blind.

Significant Events: While attending school, Axelion developed a keen understanding of tactics and strategy. He soon became one of the top students in his class, and emerged from the school with all the knowledge and training of a battle-ready soldier. He gained further notoriety when he led a daring mission to liberate an imprisoned Minmatar leader, increasing his reputation among the Republic. After the mission had achieved its goal, Axelion learned of a plan by a hostile faction to launch a devastating attack on the Republic. He gathered some of his old classmates to help, and they were able to successfully stop the attack.

Relationships: Axelion quickly bonded with his friends and classmates in military school, and the bond between them became stronger as they fought together for the freedom of their people. He also maintained a good relationship with his parents, and kept in frequent contact with them while on missions. Through these experiences, Axelion also gained an appreciation for the Republic, and he was devoted to its defence and protection.
