After her family were all killed by Minmatar pirates while travelling through Amamake, Aurora joined the Caldari militia to fight against them. When the ceasefire between the Caldari and Minmatar was announced, she joined the 24th Imperial Crusade to carry on the fight.

The Crusade were being crushed by the Minmatar militia, and Aurora was losing heart, when the Angel Cartel suddenly attacked Flosseswin. Encouraged by this action against her enemies, she signed up to fight for them, becoming a pirate herself.
