Captain "One-shot" Reign was born on Esteban VIII as Kehina Reign, was enscripted into the Amarr military forces. Although a proud Amarrian answering the call, she did not do well the first two weeks at the academy. The other cadets teased her by giving her the nickname "Long-shot", meaning her chances to see graduation was slim to none.
During combat simulations in her third week, she was given a test meant to psychologicallly examine how cadets would deal with failure and defeat. By pure determination, she managed to beat the unbeatable challenge. After that day, she was called "One-shot" by her fellow cadets. While highly skilled, she never allowed any of them to know, it was accomplished by blind panic, fear, and violent insanity. Deep down inside, she never wishes to lose control like that again.
