Tak'ah is the latest in a line of weathy benefactors of some long forgotten dead relative. His destiny was to retire before working a day and his life, grow fat and, if you believe the others, "happy." He chose a different path: he has dedicated himself to the cause of freedom and justice. Free from opression at the hands of the "true" imperalist scum which dominate new Eden; justice for those he's freed.
