Bio
>>I AM CONDUCTING ETHNOGRAPHIC RESEARCH IN LEGAL SOCIOLOGY. ALL PERSONAL DATA OF THE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ANONYMYZED IN RESEARCH NOTES AND PUBLICATIONS CONCERNING THE RESEARCH, UNLESS THE PARTICIPANTS EXPRESSLY AGREE FOR ITS DISCLOSURE IN A WRITTEN STATEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT WANT ANY OF DATA CONCERNING YOURSELF TO BE USED IN THE RESEARCH, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON AIMS AND SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH - PLEASE READ THE INFO BELOW<<
My name is Radosław Pałosz. I am a PhD candidate in Department of Legal Theory, Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University in Krak\xf3w (Poland). I am also a principal investigator in the project "Analysis of normative orders in MMO games in the light of chosen legal theory conceptions", funded by the Polish National Science Center (project no. 2017/27/N/HS5/00845). For more info about myself feel free to visit one of the websites:

In EVE Online I conduct the ethnographic research, the most important part of which is participant observation. I would like to take part in life of EVE's communities and understand perspective of their members on the rules that they are governed by - beginning with legal rules, through EVE's EULA, ending with rules created by the community. I would like to hear stories about EVE's impact on everyday life and perspective on the world. During the participant observation, I will collect the data mainly in the form of notes and occasional print screens from the game. I may also use documents that are available on corps and alliances pages. In any case I will not disclose any personal data without its owner permission, as well as any information that could have impact on the game or relations between the users. The data will be used for preparing results of my research, to aid conceptualization of conclusions.
If any of the participants would be willing, I also plan to supplement the data gained during the observation with in-depth individual interviews. In this case I will present the reviewed person with a statement containing agreement on recording the interview, as well as information about processing their personal data.
If you'd like to know more about the scope of my research, feel free to write in-game.
