Veruna Felice was born in the same fashion as her brothers and sisters. Born is probably not the right word choice. Cultivated - that's probably the better word. Decades ago homosapiens began selling fragments of their DNA to corporations for profit. Those who were born with superior DNA traits passed down to them through the millenia saw an opportunity to cash in. In the ancient times human beings could choose their offspring's DNA by pair bonding with another and mating mechanically. Now, people were selling their DNA left and right for cash in a struggle to survive in the modern era. This new "gold rush" led to corporations owning virtually every possible combination of DNA in the history of humankind. This brings us to Veruna Felice.

Created by Hubris Corporation along with 99 other "brothers" and "sisters" she was engineered by her parent - the corporation - to be the perfect corporate espionage tool. He entire life was developed in such a way for her to fulfill that purpose. Isolated on a corporate owned planet which had been terraformed to serve as a home, she was raised without any human ideals like love or compassion. However, the Hubris Corp's plan did not work out exactly as planned. During her 14th Earth year of existence a disgruntled scientist working on the project sold information about the planet to a piracy group. The group only knew it was a high value target but did not know the true scope of the project. The pirate group landed a covert transport vessel on the planet to commence a search for the valuable assets. As they neared the "assets" Hubris security staff fought violently to eliminate the pirate threat but started to lose the battle. In a final effort to protect their assets they detonated the housing facility for all of the assets.

Veruna Felice was the only survivor. By sheer luck she was in another building in the facility having her neural implants reprogrammed. All of her brothers and sisters were burned alive while the remaining Hubris staff evacuated the planet. The pirate force eventually found her in a catatonic state in the neural science facility. They returned to their fleet with her and immediately realized her potential and great skill. She was filled with absolute hate and animosity for the people who created her in their image for the purpose of greed.

With time, she earned the respect of the pirates and began managing her own fleet. Today she continues to fight.
